The Queensland Government has announced it has received it allocation of places from the Federal government and the Qld Program is now open. The State governments has all received vastly reduced allocations of places with Qld receiving 1500 places. This means the program will be highly competitive and limited. New EOIs must be lodged if you are seeking State Sponsorship with the State government only considering EOI’s lodged after 5 September 2023. Invitation rounds will occur at the end of each month until all places are filled.
Those who have purchased a business with a view to obtaining a small business owners 491 visa sponsored by the State Government will not receive and priority in the allocation of places available. So if you have spent $200,000 on purchasing a business with a view to obtaining State Sponsorship, you should get you EOI in now.
No allocation was received for the 188 Business Visa program.
