‍Currently when applying for a graduate 485 visa you are not required to nominate an occupation on the skilled occupation list nor do you need a skills assessment.

As of 1 July 2023 the Department has announced they are reverting to the original program for the graduate work stream.

From 1 July 2023 you will:

1. Need to nomination and occupation on the skilled occupation list;
2. Need a skills assessment for your nominated occuaption;
3. Need to satisfy the two year study rule and have graduated with a qualification relevant to your occupation;
4. Need the appropriate English language scores unless exempt.
