From 1 July 2024 changes to condition 8107, 8607 and 8608 have been implemented.
 
From 1 July 2024 holders of 482 or 494 visas who lose or leave their employment will have 180 days to find a new sponsor.
 
During this time visa holders have work rights.  During the life of the visa a visa holder can only use a maximum of 365 days without a sponsoring employer and the purpose of the changes is to allow employees to actively find new sponsors while being allowed to work and trial in new positions.
 
Visa holder must formally cease employment with the current employer and the Department must be notified of same.

VISA APPLICATION FEE INCREASES 1 JULY 2024
 
Visa filing fees increased on 1 July 2024.
 
The filing fees for some of the more common visa types are now as follows:

·      482 (Short Term)            $1495
·      482 (Long Term)             $3115
·      186                                   $4770
